CLIENT CashRepublic
ROLE graphic design
CashRepublic is a community-focused financial technologies company in Florida with a mission to transform and disrupt financial services by providing access to those services to people in untraditional financial situations.
I worked with CashRepublic’s Digital Marketing Manager to design a 8.5” x 11” flyer that promoted their free debit card and mobile app and
focused on engaging their target segments—Gen Z and low-income POC (people of color), mostly Millennials—with a modern but slightly playful energy. I made mindful design and copy decisions (editing existing copy) based on research that incorporated both the tendencies of Millenials to desire authenticity, transparency, and experiences over buying power and the Gen Z desire for individual expression and freedom, practicality,
and inclusivity.
Bright colors and chunky shapes gave a slightly playful look, but I maintained professionality and customer trust by having minimal text in a sleek font with lots of breathing room and by using copy that was straight forward and easy to understand. I also used candid stock photos of POC individuals to connect with target markets and convey a focus on life experiences instead of being over-polished.
